Margaret (Meg) Mogavero Bankoff

Meg Bankoff passed away on Thursday 12 November, peacefully and in accordance with her final wish. She was surrounded by her family who were able to tell her how much she is loved and how much she is missed. Meg had fought courageously and heroically against illness over the past years without complaint, selflessly continuing to only give to all around her. Meg had been an outstanding and accomplished computer programmer/systems analyst in the nuclear energy industry for the past 25 years. More important than that, Meg was a natural caregiver and loving person, and her friends and family truly loved her, as she loved them. Meg, originally born and raised in Narbeth, PA, lived in Philadelphia until 2009, when Frank and Meg moved to Weston, Fl. to be near their children and grandchildren.

Meg has been a loving sister and niece/cousin to the Curran, Gallagher, & Leypoldt families. She was a loving sister in law and aunt to the Ricky Bankoff and Marci Escort families. Meg was a loving stepmother to Tamara, Michael and Kimberly, but her grandchildren were truly the love of her life. To all who knew her, her grandchildren were the most important and pleasurable parts of her life. Her Florida grandchildren loved her so much, that they are Eagles, Phillies, Sixers, and Arsenal FBC fans just like their Nana.

Meg has been the backbone of her family, and is greatly missed by her loving and surviving family, including her husband Frank Bankoff, her stepchildren and sons-in-law Tamara & Danny Levine, Kimberly Bankoff & Jacob Voth, Michael Bankoff, and most especially her grandchildren Jacob Bankoff, Isaac Betancur, Adin Voth, Landon & Joie Levine, and Emmanuel Bankoff.

A memorial service will be held for Meg on Sunday November 15 at 11:30 AM at Menorah Gardens & Funeral Chapels, 21100 West Griffin Rd., Southwest Ranches, Fl. 33332. Anyone wishing to make any charitable donations on behalf of Meg should give to those causes dear to her: animal rescue/welfare, children, or those less fortunate.
