Dear Zimmermanns all - our thoughts are with you as we have been thinking of Zimmy and, of course, Lorraine.  They were both such genial hosts over the years and treasured family members.  The laughter and stories will be missed as will be the many times shared at the home on the Lake.  Our love to you all, the West Coast Gilloolys - Bonnie, Pam, and Chris.

I recall the fun Fourth of July parties where Zimm so graciously opened up his home to all. You could not beat the great fun, food and the forever lasting fireworks display! He was a fun loving man who loved life, his family and was willing to share his beautiful home for everyone to enjoy.

We shall miss the sight of him and his captain hat cruising Lake Mohawk. And miss the competing fireworks display on 4th of July. Fond memories of your parents.

My greatest and most heart-warming memories of Uncle Zimmie was when my dad, Elwood, and mom, Theresa, would bring the four of us up to Lake Mohawk to skate at Uncle Zimmie and Aunt Lorraine's house. I will never forget how hospitable Uncle Zimmie was, how he made me feel so welcome in their home, and how he loved to share his love of the lake with us.  We had so much fun ice skating that we never wanted to go home. Uncle Zimmie always tried to talk my parents into letting us all stay over, and although I don't remember if we ever did, I remember his loving gesture and the fun he allowed us all to have!  Although we will all miss Uncle Zimmie tremendously, we have times like this to treasure, and my daughter Traci said it best the other day when she said, "But mom, he wanted to go be with his wife, Aunt Lorraine-it was what he wanted-he told me last year".  So, Uncle Zim - you can now rest with your loved ones.

Condolences to your family for your loss. What a wonderful lifetime of memories you have to help you feel your Father's (Grandfather's) loves.  My prayers are with your family.

  We are sorry for your loss. We were very lucky to be "Zim's" neighbors .  "Zimmy" taught us much about water safety and raising children  on the Lake.  He "saved" the "city people" many evenings if a bat got into the house . He always had a smile and a chuckle. Both Zimmy &Lorraine shared many wonderful stories about their Life on Lake Mohawk. On Fourth of July the house filled with family and friends and you could always count on a great post LMCC firework show  to occur! We will surely miss seeing Zimmy smiling as he sailed out of Tamarack Cove in the beautiful "Zim's Wim". Sincerely, The Leo Family
