I am so sorry to hear of Barry's passing.   He was my wife's urologist, and his wonderful wife Donna was her friend and a great support to both of us.

I remember them both in my prayers, always.

I would like to send my condolences to Dr. Seidmans family. I was a patient with Dr. Seidman for over twenty years. He was nothing but a genuinely nice person and great doctor. He would spend time after my visit with me and speak to me like a friend. We'd talk about life, golf, and just joke around. I was upset when he had to retire. I told him that he was the best doctor I've ever had. He will be surely missed as a person and doctor. May he be at peace. Again, I'm truly sorry to just recently hear of his passing.

I would like to send my sincere prayers and thoughts to Donna and Family. Dr Seidman was not only my employer but a true friend. He was always compassionate to all his patients. He taught me so much  and I enjoyed over 7 years working together. 
I will never forgot him and wish his family true sincere condolences and many beautiful memories.

Dad was taken too early, at the age of just 70, but he lived a very full life in those 70 years.  He made so many good friends over his lifetime, many of whom have recently told me stories that I didn't even know. He prided himself on providing medical care to his patients as people and not widgets.  He gave every patient time to discuss almost anything with him after their exam be it family, friends, and especially golf!

I was very lucky to grow up with him, not just as my father, but truly as my best friend.  My upbringing was anything but the norm as we spent a lot of time as just the boys and not just father/son.  We played 1,000's of rounds of golf together.  He took me to some of the worlds best courses and together we hit thousands of golf balls together.  He was so very proud of his win in the 1999 Club Championship while I was his caddy, but was always more proud of when I won it in 2003 with him as my caddy.  

He will be terribly missed but never forgotten.  I love you dad.

I worked with Barry and his loving and lovely wife, Donna, for many years at Overlook. He was a great doctor and such a wonderful human being. Every where he went he spread humor and joy. He was one of the kindest people I ever met. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones. May he rest in peace 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️

I work at Overlook Medical Center  in  Same Day.
I only worked with Dr. Seidman a few times, but what I remember the most was he was a kind and smart surgeon.  
I will miss working with him.

It was my good fortune that in the Spring of 1988 Barry Seidman served as my mentor in urology, golf and life. The highlight of our 5th year at Columbia Urology residency training was to rotate through Overlook hospital for four months. Barry and I immediately bonded, and he showed me the ropes in the OR as well as his busy office practice. Ruth, Barry’s trusty office manager, would make sure Barry’s practice offered the utmost in efficiency and compassionate patient care, but also allowed him free time to dedicate to his love of golf. Maplewood Country Club was his paradise, and we shared many joyous rounds together, and with Jason as he grew up to be an accomplished golfer. Barry was proud that he had a Urology sharpie ball marking design, which would bring all his lost balls back to him by various chuckling golfers. He was the Arnie of Maplewood and we all can always remember that gleeful, rosy cheeked smile of our most kind, gentle and generous Barry as he shared his life experiences with us. 

A year after my rotation at Overlook I often called Barry for advice as I set up my Urology private practice. I also joined Tamarack country club, which Barry and I also enjoyed. Similarly, to Jason my kids grew up with golf and Michelle became a collegiate golfer. I quickly realized that I did not pattern my life after my father or the Academic role models at Columbia Urology, but that I wanted to be like happy go lucky well-balanced Barry. When Jason called on Tuesday we relived the unforgettable memory of his bar mitzvah - Michael Jordon Ice sculpture, Vodka and Caviar table, half Lobsters and seafood piled sky high and yes – MTV dancers dancing with 12- and 13-year-old pubescent boys. Jason said, “yeah that was great- my friends and I really enjoyed that”. The greatest was the proud grinning look on Barry’s face. I will always remember him like that- just like after he’d sink a birdie putt. Cheers to you Barry- only the best memories. Thanks for everything.
