

Diana was born in Jersey City and resided in Butler before moving to Sparta. She is a graduate of The College of New Jersey where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice, and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Fairleigh Dickenson University. Diana was employed as the Director of Administration and Policy by the County of Morris.
She is survived by her husband Douglas Vance and her mother Jewel Hazekamp, a sister Janice Whalen and her husband Philip, nephews Philip and Terence, mother-in-law Audrey Vance, father-in-law John D. Vance, sisters-in-law Regina Onorati and Angela Vance, and brothers-in-law James, Malachy, Christopher, Matthew and John.
She was pre-deceased by her father Frederick Hazekamp.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4, 7-9pm, April 17, 2011 at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. A funeral mass will be held Monday 10am at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Sparta, NJ at 10am Saturday. Interment will follow at Sparta Cemetery.
