Earl Matthew Marks

E. Matthew Marks, 70, of Mt. Arlington, NJ passed away on October 28, 2012. Matthew was born in Auburn, NY on October 28, 1942, graduated from University of Illinois with a business degree and received his MBA from Texas Tech University. He was a US Navy Captain and served as a E2 pilot off aircraft carriers. In his civilian career he worked with International Terminals of Norfolk, Virginia for 17 years as Assistant General Manager. Matthew then worked at International Transportation Services where he was President and CEO for 12 years. His present position was the Executive Director for the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance. Matthew had a passion for golf and astronomy. Matthew is survived by his loving wife Rita; beloved daughter Christina Sokol and her husband Will; beloved son Matthew and his wife Tracy; devoted mother Dorothy Marks; grandchildren Ryan and Madelyn Sokol and Brayden and Nick Marks; stepchildren Gerard and Mark Wells. He is also survived by 2 sisters and 4 brothers. Friends may gather Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 10-11am at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871.
