Elizabeth "Betty" Erwin

Elizabeth “Betty” Erwin, 89, of Sparta passed away on September 26, 2011. Betty was born in Paterson, NJ and lived in the Scenic Lakes section of Vernon before moving to Sparta 14 years ago. She was a past trustee of the Wantage Seniors and a member of the Knoll Heights Seniors. Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband Harold Joseph Erwin and brother Michael W. LaConti. She is survived by her sister-in-law Dorothy LaConti and family; niece Michelle Slockbower and her husband Eric and their family; niece Lisa McKeon and her husband Larry and their family; and nephew Michael LaConti and his wife Brenda and their family. Betty is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and many great-great nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday, September 30, 2011 from 2-4, 7-9pm at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. A funeral mass will be held at 9:30am Saturday at St. Jude the Apostle Church in Hamburg. Interment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
