Elizabeth McIntyre

Elizabeth McIntyre (née Mikulak) of Sparta, NJ, age 90, devoted wife and mother, and friend to many died peacefully at the Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice surrounded by her family on Friday, October 27, 2023.

Elizabeth graduated from Hartford High School, Hartford, PA in the Class of 1951. She worked for a short time at Curtiss Wright Flight Systems in Caldwell, NJ where she met the love of her life, Harold McIntyre, who predeceased her in 2021 after 68 years of marriage.

Elizabeth took pride and joy in cooking and baking for friends and family. She always enjoyed experimenting with new recipes, and cooking traditional favorites at holiday gatherings. Mrs. McIntyre was an avid gardener, and enjoyed crosswords, Sudoku and reading.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Lisa (Meg) of Denver, CO; sons Stephen (Donna) of Bowdoin, ME; Thomas (Mary) of Sparta; James (Karen) of Hopatcong.

Mrs. McIntyre is also survived by her grandchildren Thomas Jr. Michael, Katie and Daniel, along with five great-grandchildren: Stephen III, Maddie, Kenzie, Brady and Mia. Elizabeth is predeceased by grandson Stephen Jr.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 10AM - 11AM at Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ. Graveside service and interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, 342 Oakridge Road, Oak Ridge, NJ.
