

Elliott graduated from the Christian Brothers Lasalle Academy in 1979 where he was involved in track and field and band. Elliott played trumpet and threw the shot put, the hammer, and discus winning numerous high school championships.
Collegiately, he attended West Point Military Academy and later Iona College where he continued to excel at Track and Field events including an invite to the 1980 Olympic trials. One of the greatest highlights of Elliott's Athletic career was competing against one of his all-time idols, four-time Olympic Champion Al Oerter.
After college Elliott continued to coach shotput and discus throwers. He became a computer communication engineer culminating in setting up disaster recovery sites for the Depository Trust Company (NY stock market). Elliott left IT, became an entrepreneur, and opened up his own business in Atlantic Highlands for several years.
Elliott was married once. He had no children except for his doggies; Max, Asia, Scooter, Loki, Maximus, and Brutus.
Having been preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Eugene McCrohan Sr., Elliott is survived by his brother Eugene Jr., sister Colleen, and their spouses Michelle and Nick.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 5 - 8PM at Goble Funeral Home 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. Cremation will be held privately.
