Emily S. Howard

Emily S. Howard, 95, passed away on June 19, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Plymouth, PA and lived in Hackettstown before moving to the Knoll Heights section of Sparta in 2000. Emily was a member of the Sparta Seniors, the Sparta First Presbyterian Church and she volunteered her time at the Beehive Thrift Shop in Newton and the Manna House. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Wilson P. Howard and her son Brett W. Howard. Emily is survived by her devoted daughters: Karen Howard of Port St. Lucie, FL; Kristen Howard of Allamuchy and Adria Moore and her husband Tim of Byram, NJ. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Friends may gather at 9:30am, Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Sparta First Presbyterian Church, 32 Main St, Sparta, NJ 07871 with a service at 10am at the church. A Celebration of Life will continue at her daughter Kristen’s home, 2pm Saturday at 157 Longbridge Rd, Allamuchy, NJ 07821. The Goble Funeral Home, Sparta is in charge of funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to: Sparta Ecumenical Council on Senior Citizens Housing, 39 Trapasso Drive, Sparta, NJ 07871.
