
She was born on October 31, 1945 in Ulm, Germany, relocating to the United States as a young adult.
After immigrating to the United States, she worked at Kanek Tool where she met her husband of 49-years, Stephen Chlopik. Upon raising her three children, she went to work at Pathmark where her kind smile and joyous laughter could be heard from behind the deli counter.
Irma was a devoted mother of three, and a loving grandmother of two. She was also an animal lover who was always helping and caring for animals throughout her life.
Irma is survived by her husband, Stephen Chlopik, her son, daughter-in-law, and grandson, Andrew Chlopik, Maureen Chlopik, and Andrew Chlopik II, her daughter, Patricia Chlopik, her son, girlfriend, and granddaughter, Michael Chlopik, Sarah Keiser, and LeeAnne Chlopik, and her sister, Elise Canady. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Waltraud Jelonnek, and brothers-in-law, Harold Jelonnek and Bill Canady.
She will be missed more than words can say.
Arrangements by Goble Funeral Home 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. Irma’s request, there will be no traditional funeral. Cremation will be private, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
