

Lafayette, NJ- Jay Johnson Norman went home to the Lord, on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Hackettstown Hospital. He was born in Milton, NJ to Edgar and Phoebe (Pearson) Norman where he resided for many years. He then moved to Lafayette for 18 years until a year ago.
Mr. Norman served his country proud during the Korean War with the US Navy, for two terms until 1953. He was employed for 38 years as a machine operator with the NJ Department of Transportation in Rockaway, NJ, retiring in 1991. Jay was a lifelong member of The American Legion POST 423, Milton. He was a wonderful Grandfather, spending much of his free time with family and his grand and great grandchildren. He was loved by all, and will be missed greatly. Jay was predeceased by a son; Brett Norman in 2004. Surviving him are two sons; Dale of Lafayette, and Jay Norman and his wife Mary of Lake Hopatcong. Four daughters; Linda Norman of Netcong, Cindy Springs of Lafayette, Judy Dunn and her husband Jack of Hopatcong, and Debbie Dinnocenzo and her husband Pete of New Windsor, NY. Fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Friends and family are invited Monday 2~4 and 7~9 pm to Goble Funeral Home 22 Main Street, Sparta, NJ 07871.
