Joanne Dawson

Joanne Dawson, 69, of Star Valley Ranch, Wyoming, passed away at the home of her sister in Byram Twp, NJ on January 12, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Joanne was born in Elizabeth, grew up in Linden, and lived in Lake Lackawanna, Byram Twp, and Succasunna most of her life before moving to Wyoming. She was a 1964 graduate of Sparta High School and a 1967 graduate of the Charles E. Gregory School of Nursing in Perth Amboy, NJ. Joanne was a Registered Nurse working at Dover General and St. Clare’s Hospital in Dover, NJ retiring from nursing 2 years ago after working as a nurse at St. John’s Hospital in Jackson, WY for the past 8 years. She loved her pet dogs, cats and parrots and organic gardening. Her love for animals drove her to volunteer her spare time working at Lucky’s Place Animal Shelter. Joanne is survived by her beloved daughter Stacey Breidenstein of Salt Lake City, Utah and her beloved son David Breidenstein of Star Valley Ranch, Wyoming; sister of Lee Amoroso and Candy DeVenezia and devoted grandmother of Andrew, Kiara, Evangeline, and Keifer. Services were held privately by the Goble Funeral Home, Sparta, NJ.
