John Robert Matus, Jr.

Born in Dumont, N.J. to Florence Josephine (Visocki) Matus and the late John R. Matus Sr. he was the proprietor of

B&B Automotive Specialists in Morris Plains for many years. Bob loved cars from the beginning and could fix them all. He was a member of the Northern NJ Region SCCA for many years, racing a G Production Fiat Spider. He loved building monster motors, boating, camping on Candlewood Lake, his guitars, music, pets, friends and his family.

Predeceased by his father, he is survived by his mother Florence Josephine Matus, wife Barbara (Herzog) Matus; son Steven Matus and his fiancé' Patrycja; daughter Kerry Matus; sister Kimberly Matus; brother-in-law Kenneth Pottie, his Aunts Gloria and Betty, Roger ( his cousin and Barbara's rock) many other loved cousins and countless friends He is also survived by his cherished granddaughter Brielle Matus who he would be proud to say has inherited his sense of adventure.

Memorial/Celebration visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Sparta, N.J. 07871
