John F. Waldron

He was born in Russia on July 12, 1944, to the late John and Tatiana Waldron. Raised in East Orange, and a graduate of East Orange High School, he was a Sussex County resident for 36 years. Waldron served honorably in the National Guard. He enjoyed doo wop music, fellowship with his brothers in Christ, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his children, daughter Elisabeth Schuman and husband, Eric, and his son Philip Waldron; his four loving grandchildren, who knew him as "Pop Pop," Madeleine, Elena, Isaac, and Andrew; his sister Nina Herbster; and his brother Steven. He was predeceased by his brother, Denis (Max), and sister, Jackie.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Saint Kateri Church, 427 Stanhope Rd., Sparta, 07871. Arrangements are under the direction of Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John's honor may be made to Step Ahead Inc., 54 Main St, Suite 201, Succasunna, 07876.
