

Michael, graduated from the Art Institute of Philadelphia, PA where he was awarded top portfolio for his graduating class. He was a talented and creative freelance Visual Effects and Motion Graphics Artist who worked in New York City on various movies and commercials in both pre and post production work. Michael was an accomplished self-taught musician who played fluently the electric and acoustic guitars, piano, harmonica, violin, ukulele, and drums. His biggest passion was being a rhythm guitarist in his pop-punk band, Stories of Living, formerly Time Will Tell, where they recently released their first album, “Save Your Breath” as well as completed their first tour of the southwestern states. Mike was a warm, friendly, and caring man who was loved deeply by his family and friends. Michael is predeceased by his grandmother Florinda Petillo, grandparents: Jim and Blanche Larned and aunts: Barbara Ravo, June Nagy, and Patty Larned.
Michael was the beloved son of Richard and Karen Larned, and loving brother to Jennifer Edwards and her husband, Christopher of Hampton Twp. He was an adoring uncle to niece Isabella Edwards. In addition, Michael is survived by his grandfather, Edward Petillo of Toms River, Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Joe Jacobi of Red Hook, NY, and Uncle Ed and Aunt Mary of Harrington Park, NJ. He is survived by his very close cousins Matthew, Lauren, Kelly, Michelle, Steven, Sammy, Tina and Sandy. Friends may call Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 2-4, 7-9pm at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30am Monday at our Lady of the Lake Church, 294 Sparta Ave., Sparta, NJ 07871. Burial will follow at Tranquility Cemetery.
