William J Malone

William J. Malone, 84, passed away on June 17, 2012 at Bristol Glen United Methodist Home, Newton, NJ. A memorial gathering will be held between the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on June 26, 2012 at Scanlon Funeral Home, 781 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Plains, NJ. Mr. Malone was born and raised in Totowa, NJ before moving to Wayne, NJ 58 Years ago.Mr. Malone was the son of Doris and William Malone. He is survived by his wife Nancy Belding Malone, daughter: Sally M. House and her husband William House of Oak Ridge, NJ, son: T. Clinton Malone and his wife Kimberly Malone of Toms River, NJ and grandsons Douglas and Sean House of Oak Ridge, NJ. Mr. Malone served in the US Army, 2nd Division, stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington from 1944 to 1946.He graduated from Rutgers University in 1952.

He began his career in fire protection with Factory Mutual Insurance Company as a field engineer prior to starting his own business. Mr. Malone established W. J. Malone Associates, Inc. in 1960 as a company specializing in the installation of fire protection systems.In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011. Arrangements are being handled by Goble Funeral Home, Sparta, NJ.
