Aaron Michael Anzalone

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye from this world to our son, brother, father, nephew, cousin, and friend. Survived by his daughters Grace Acre-Anzalone, Lilya Anzalone, Bailey Easton, stepdaughter Cali Easton, father and mother Mike and Leann Anzalone, sister Sarah Conley (Nate), brother Kyle Anzalone (Sarah), and partner Deidre Curtis.

Aaron was light and love. He lived his life unapologetically and authentically to who he was. He shared perspective, encouraged presence of mind, awareness of self, and conscious living. He had a servant heart and was there to help anyone and everyone (a trait he inherited and learned from his mom). He had a passion for life and living fully. He loved his work, both at the adult family home and doing what he loved by creating, improving, and building around Spokane. He lived by his own code and ideals of community, love, and connection.

Aaron had true empathy and passion for people and has said to have “never met a stranger.” He had gratitude and appreciation for the little things in life. He respected nature and loved using his artistic mind to create works of art from natural resources. Most of all, Aaron was a devoted father and lived life for his girls.

“Life means all that it ever meant.

It is the same as it ever was.

There is absolute and unbroken continuity.

What is this death but a negligible accident?

Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?

I am but waiting for you, for an interval,

somewhere very near,

just round the corner.”

He is preceded in death by great grandma Costa, great uncles Teno Costa and Bruno Costa, grandparents Edward and Betty Barkley, Joe and Mira Anzalone, uncles Pat Bass and Joe Anzalone, cousins Tracy Bass, Melissa Loucks, and Nick Anzalone.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Center Place Regional Event Center 2426 N Discovery PI, Spokane Valley, WA 99216 at 2PM on Saturday, August 26th.
