Anthony Patrick Davis Jr.

He grew up in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho attending Winton Elementary, Lakes Middle School, and Coeur d'Alene High School before graduating from Gonzaga Prep in Spokane, May 1994. Anthony graduated from Spokane Community College with a degree in Architecture, then completed an Architecture summer internship at the University of Oregon.

Anthony lived in Portland, Oregon for 2 years before moving back to Spokane to attend Eastern Washington University in Cheney. He subsequently attended Spokane Falls Community College, receiving a degree in Computer Science.

On August 7, 2005 Anthony married Susan Church and became caring step-dad to Seth and Tanya; Cody and Trinity joined their family within the next three years. He loved being a dad and taking the kids on hikes all over the Spokane area. Anthony was an avid reader and loved a wide array of music genres from classical to hard rock.

Anthony enlisted with the Washington Army National Guard in 2006. He loved the Guard, serving as a motor transport operator, including a stint at Fort Victory in Iraq. Anthony was released from active duty in 2010. After returning home, Anthony served as an Honor Guard, paying tribute for the fallen. He was honorably discharged in 2014.

Anthony worked various jobs after returning from Iraq, including Swift Trucking Co., Buck Knives in Post Falls, Idaho and most recently for Keurig Dr. Pepper in Spokane. He loved working for Dr. Pepper and was proud that he was able to out-work co-workers half his age.

Above all else, Anthony loved being a dad, his children, family and his cat, Gus. He loved his centennial birth year, the patriotism of Independence Day, and Christmas.

Anthony is survived by his children, Seth and Maegan Church, Tanya Johnston, Cody P Davis, and Trinity L Davis, all of Spokane, along with his grandchildren, Meah and Max. He is also survived by his mom and step-dad, Gerry and Jim Wilson of Post Falls, Idaho, his dad and step-mom, Tony and Kate Davis of Spokane, his sister Stephanie (Rob) Holton of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, ex-wife Susan (Robbie) Johnston of Spokane, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, and his beloved cat, Gus. He is pre-deceased by his grandparents Max and Ramona Kunze, Frank and Florence Davis, aunts Mary Davis and Theresa Davis, plus uncles Jerome Davis and Max Kunze.

Memorial Services will be held on April 9, 2025 at 11:30 am at St. Joseph's Cemetery in the Spokane Valley with a celebration of life to follow.
