October 1, 1948 – November 5, 2025
Donna Dianne Greenslitt passed away peacefully and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 5, 2025, in Spokane, Washington. She was surrounded by the love of her family and amazing caregivers. Born on October 1, 1948, to Don and Laura Greenslitt, she grew up in the family home her father built, alongside her sister, Linda, and brothers, Gary and Jim.
A proud graduate of Ferris High School, Class of 1967, Donna went on to enjoy a rewarding career spanning over 30 years as a talented and caring hair stylist. She worked many of those years at The Mane Attraction with her dear friend, Shirl Wilson, with whom she shared a lifelong friendship until Shirl’s passing in 2010. In 2002, she changed careers and went to work in the Uniform Room at Northern Quest Resort and Casino for approximately 15 years.
The greatest joy of Donna’s life was her beloved daughter, Lori, born on June 14, 1970. Donna devoted her life to her family, embodying kindness, loyalty, and selflessness in everything she did. When her mother, Laura, fell ill, Donna and Lori moved back into the family home so Donna could care for her parents—a labor of love that lasted more than two decades.
In 1997, Donna became a grandmother when her first grandchild, Chandler, was born, followed by Carsen, Vivyan, and great-grandson, Oliver. If ever a heart could grow bigger, Donna’s grew fourfold. She loved being a grandma, and her grandchildren absolutely adored her.
Donna’s heart was as big as her generosity. She was the center of the Greenslitt family—hosting holidays, opening her home to nieces and nephews, and always being there with a warm meal, a listening ear, or a comforting word. She and her sister, Linda, shared a special bond and their time together—especially at bingo—was filled with laughter and joy.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Lori (Matt) Sterling; grandchildren, Chandler, Carsen, and Vivyan; and great-grandson, Oliver; sister, Linda; brothers, Gary (Cindy) and Jim (Marsha); and nieces and nephews, Belinda, Dave, Ric, Erica, Emily, Ben, and Andy.
“For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.”
