Florence May Haidle

Born in Port Angeles, WA. On March 3rd, 1926 to George and Margaret Skinner where she joined her two sisters Margaret and Catherine. The family moved to Port Townsend when she was two. There Florence graduated from Port Townsend High. Soon after graduation she moved to Spokane with her parents, where she attended Kinmen Business School. Florence worked at Sears in the credit department where she met her future husband, Arthur J. Haidle. The couple were married January 15, 1948, and went on to have two daughters Sharan and Pamela.

Florence was a bookkeeper, kindergarten teacher and secretary plus many volunteer jobs. She was a life time member of the South Side Community Center where she started and organized monthly dinners for the Galloping Gourmet. Florence was very involved in Lincoln Heights Community Church where she was a member for over 70 years.

She worked tirelessly in her yard until she was 95. Her yard was her pride and joy.

Florence is survived by daughter Sharan(Jim); Grandchildren Jennifer (John) and Brendon (Amy), four great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lincoln Heights Community Church or South Side Community Center building fund.

A memorial service will be held at 10am July 14, 2023 at Lincoln Heights Community Church,

3527 E. 29, burial will follow at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
