

Gerald K. “Jerry” Snow, born September 5, 1929, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 18th after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He passed with his caring wife of 63 years, Betty, at his side and surrounded by his family’s love. Jerry, a lifelong resident of Spokane Valley, was a devoted husband and father dedicated to his family and community. During the Korean War, he proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired after 43 years as a conductor with the Great Northern and Burlington Northern Railroads. After retirement, Jerry served as a volunteer for S.C.O.P.E. and with the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. He enjoyed traveling, golf, and a zest for life. Jerry’s greatest gift to others was that of giving of himself; lending his considerable expertise and always ready to share a joke. Jerry’s pride and joy was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Betty L. Snow; son, Gerry (Aline) Snow of Spokane, WA; daughter, Nancy (Ron) Olfs of Spokane Valley, WA; daughter, Kristine (Will) of Pleasanton, CA; 3 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 10 step great-grandchildren. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Ruby Snow; brother, Robert Snow, and granddaughter, Danielle Brown. Jerry will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who loved him and valued his friendship. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2:00PM at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 South Pines Road, Spokane Valley, WA, 99206. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Spokane.
