Hanson, Gordon S. (age 83) died at his home on Tuesday, December 7, 2010. He was born in Cashmere, WA, the second son of Carl and Grace Hanson. He married LuElla Ortman of Forest Grove, OR in 1950 and together they ministered to children and teachers of children in Child Evangelism Fellowship. The latter part of his life, he was lovingly attended to by his wife, his daughter Beth, his son Jeff, and his caregiver Olga Motornaya. Special memories include the many hundreds of small rocks painted as shoes for gifts to children. Also, his love for flowers, and dahlias were some of his favorites. He is survived by his wife of 60 years; his children: Kimball, Apryl (Dennis), Beth (Rick), and Jeff (Mary Jane); and by his grandchildren: Matthew, Joshua, Amy, Jeremiah, Jonah, Daisy Jane, David, Michael, and Amy; and one great-grandchild, Kelsie. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at 7:00 PM at Valley Fourth Memorial, 2303 S. Bowdish, Spokane Valley, WA 99206.
