

Jim was born August 6, 1921 in St. Anthony, Idaho to Edwin and Sarah (Jenkins) McKinley. He was the 7th of 14 children and was preceded in death by his parents, 12 brothers and sisters, and two granddaughters.
Jim is survived by his wife of 68 years, Juana; three sons, Brent (Connie), Bruce, and Brad (Anita) and one daughter, Beverlee Westenskow (Joe); 28 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; one sister, Dorothy Justin; and many nieces and nephews.
After graduating from St. Anthony High School, in St. Anthony, Idaho, Jim attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. He met his wife, Juana Keppner, and they married on May 22, 1942. In August 1942, Jim reported for duty in the United States Army during World War II and was stationed in England, France and Germany. After the war, Jim and Juana moved to Spokane, Washington where they raised their family and Jim worked for Sigman's Grocery Store. Years later, he operated his own salvage business until he retired.
Jim will always be known for his kind loving nature, not just by his family but by all those who knew him. He was a wonderful husband, father, granfather and a true friend to all.
Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., July 20, 2010, at The Jesus Christ of LDS Church 21022 E. Wellesley, Otis Orchards, WA 99027. A graveside service will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace Cemetery.
