

Jane L Imes born July 15th, 1938, passed away peacefully in her home in the Spokane Valley on November 11th, 2023, at the age of 85. Jane was born to Jasper and Ruth Walker on July 15, 1938, in Redmond, WA. Her family moved to the Methow Valley in 1945. Jane Graduated from Winthrop High School in 1956, and was interested in many school activities, but her favorites were playing softball and being a Yell leader/Cheerleader.
Jane married Dan R Imes of Winthrop, on December 15, 1956. Jane enjoyed raising her four boys and spending time with family. Jane worked several jobs over the years, including Chase’s Clothing Store and ONB Bank in Twisp, Washington.
Jane is survived by her sisters Terry Lowrance and Gloria Walker, brothers Terry Walker and Gary Walker, Rick Imes (son), Randy & Nancy Imes (son), Rocky Imes (son) Rusty & Julie Imes (son). Grandchildren, Josh Imes, Ashley Imes (Brenden Many), Dannielle Imes Sawyer (Darren), Adam Imes (Jennifer), Joel Daley, Whitney Imes, Kayla Imes McClain (Ryan), Colby Imes, Carly Imes, Daniel Imes, and Great Grand Children, Kya, Kayson, Aria, Paxton, Briar, Brooklynn, Danner, Farrah, and Ashton.
She is preceded in death by her Parents Ruth and Jasper, daughter-n-Law Kathryn M. Imes, Husband Dan R Imes, Sisters Pat Miller and Diane Walker, and Grandson Dalton Imes Marker.
Jane (Mom) would tell stories of how her mother handmade her dresses using flour sacks, and that a special treat may be some sweet cream. For Jane it was all about her Family and Friends, she was always fixing things or making something for someone she cared about.
Jane loved to tell her kids and grandkids about her school years. One of her favorite stories to tell was playing softball at school against the boys, and she was very proud of the fact that she could hit home runs and run faster than most. She would say how they all wanted her on their team.
Jane spent many years Bowling with her mom, sisters, family, and friends and would travel to bowling tournaments making unforgettable Memories. Jane was an extremely talented seamstress and could make amazing clothes, costumes, knit hats, socks, make quilts, crochet and enjoyed creating artwork and painting. Family time was always well spent camping, or playing cards, board games, reading, working on puzzles, and enjoying life.
Live, Laugh & Love was her family motto.
She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
