Karen Lynn Russell

Karen Lynn Russell, born in Spokane, WA August 6, 1985 lost her battle to diabetes on August 30, 2014. She is survived by her parents, Ken & Sharon Vasconcelos of Spokane. Her sisters Gillian Gibson of Boise, ID, Denise (Dan) O'Connor of Spokane, WA, and Jayme Vasconcelos of Spokane, WA, half sisters Becky and Terry and grandmother Betty Lee of Spokane, WA and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Karen grew up in Spokane and touched so many lives throughout her time with us with her kindness, selflessness, and love, even while going through her own struggles.

Karen would take advantage of any opportunity to get out and enjoy her life as long as her health would allow her to do so. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was involved with the Faith Baptist Youth Group. Karen also loved to sing karoake at the Peking Gardens Restaurant and the Light House with Joe and Clara Reedy.

The Funeral Service is scheduled at the Salvation Army, 222 E. Indiana, Spokane, WA on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11:00 AM. A viewing will take place at the Salvation Army beginning at 10:00 AM.

Burial will follow at Pines Cemetery. We would like everyone to join our family in the celebration of Karen's life with the potluck at the Salvation Army following the graveside.
