On August 28, 2024, Kenneth Russell Heath, an adored son, brother, and loving father, passed away peacefully from natural causes at Cozy Place Adult Family Home, where he was residing with wife, Carol, the last few months. Born at home on December 10, 1929 in Blaine, Washington to William and Ellen Heath, Ken was welcomed by older sisters, Elsie, Dorothy, Nina, Betty, and brother Bill.
Ken spent his childhood growing up in several Washington towns, including Blaine, Pateros, Newport, and Spokane. He attended Rogers High School in Spokane, graduating with the class of 1947. After graduation, Ken‘s employers included Grand Coulee Dam, Hanford, and Kaiser Aluminum Trentwood, where he worked for 43 years in several positions and made many friends.
Ken enjoyed car races and vintage cars, owning three. He enjoyed attending airshows and could tell you what many vintage planes were.
Venturing on many trips, Ken enjoyed camping in his pick up and camper with his family and his best friends. His favorite places included Priest Lake, the Olympic Peninsula and the Oregon Coast.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Elsie, Nina, Dorothy, Betty, brother, Bill, daughter, Lauri Heath Shafer, and his faithful companion, his cat Sam.
Ken is survived by his wife of 71 years, Carol, daughters, Sherry (Pete) Krehoff, Debbie (Rick) Tucker, son, Russell Heath, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Services will be held at Thornhill Valley Chapel Funeral Home on September 28th at 1:00PM, followed by a catered reception at 2:00PM.
