Bueckers, Lawrence John “Larry” (age 95) went home to the Lord on Friday, December 17th , 2010. He was born on August 29th , 1915 in Freeport, MN to Henry and Mary Schenk Bueckers. In 1939 Larry came to Spokane and enlisted in the Army at Fort George Wright. He served in the Army until March 24th , 1941 when he was honorably discharged. On March 15, 1941 he married Helen Small in Coeur d’ Alene, ID. To this union, five children were born: John, Leo, Linda, Patricia, and Michael. They lived all their lives in Spokane. Upon retirement Larry enjoyed working in his garden and listening to his radio, especially baseball games. Larry was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, his parents, brothers Bernhard, Anthony, Phillip, Leo, and Aloys sisters Mary and Anna. A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 27th, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Spokane Memorial Gardens, 5909 S. Cheney-Spokane Rd. Father Charles Skok will be officiating.
