Born on June 11th, 1960, in Spokane, WA to Jerome and Beverly Riordan, the youngest of five children. He attended Holmes Elementary then Havermale Junior High School. He graduated from North Central High School in 1979 and later worked as a radiology clerk at Sacred Heart Medical Center for 41 years.
He married his wife of 38 years, Ann Marie McGougan, on March 12th, 1988. They had two children together, Nick and Tiffany.
As a youth, he enjoyed spending summers on the farm in Sprague, WA with his friend Alan Decker, and hunting with his friend Bill Jones. Pat would regularly get into mischief, as family and friends would attest. He could be seen frequenting Natatorium Park, Doyles Ice Cream Parlor and the Donut Parade. Later in life he was a family man, actively involved in his children’s lives; never missing a practice, game or activity. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and getting to watch his grandkids grow. He was an active council member of the North Central Alumni Association, helping to connect alumni and support students. He spent many hours enjoying old time radio and television.
He was known to talk your ear off about anything and everything. Whether sharing stories of his childhood antics, discussing current events, or sharing funny, although at times slightly inappropriate jokes. He was never lacking for conversation.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Marie, son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Courtney Riordan, daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany and Jon Griffith, and four grandchildren Claire, Quinn, Blake and Alice. He is also survived by his four siblings, Angie, Steve, Kathleen and Lisa.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jerome and Beverly Riordan along with his grandson Oliver Griffith.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday June 6th at Terrace View Park in Spokane Valley. It will be an open house event between 1 and 4 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the North Central Alumni Association.
