

Wilma Arvilla Belcher was born February 14th, 1934, in Winnebago, Nebraska. Her family then moved to Stockton, California where she was raised. She graduated from Stockton College High School in Stockton, California. She married Johnny Belcher on April 16th, 1954, and they were married for 71 years and had great love for each other. They met roller skating in San Diego and married in Stockton before spending 25 years in San Diego. They raised three children, Lori Jane Albino (Greg, children Darcy and Colby), Larry James Belcher (Beth, son Brandon), Lorne Jay Belcher (Patti, children Ashley, Johnny, & Jessica).
Wilma moved to Spokane in 1979, where she attended Pines Baptist Church for 20 years. Wilma's first job was in a bakery and then at the San Joquin Toy Association. Other jobs she held were working at the school, librarian, and real estate agent for Tomlinson Back in Spokane; which was her favorite job.
Wilma and Johnny spent winters in Arizona in their motorhome. They traveled to Florida, where they cruised to Panama, and took a 50th anniversary cruise to Alaska. They enjoyed many cruises, camping in their motorhome, and spent time with their six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Wilma and Johnny were very involved for 10 years with the Volunteer Christian Builders. Wilma's Christian faith and her family were very important to her.
