

Betty A. Wickwire (age 86) passed away January 7, 2012, in Spokane, Washington. She was born June 1, 1925, in Great Falls, Montana, but lived in Spokane most of her life. She graduated from Lewis & Clark High School and worked as a legal secretary for Winston & Cashatt, before ultimately retiring from Paine Hamblen Law Offices. Her passion was bowling, and she bowled actively for over 50 years. Betty is survived by two daughters, Penny Miller (David) of Issaquah, Washington and Julie Heath (Sean) of Spokane; one stepson, Gary Wickwire of Spokane; and five grandchildren, David Wickwire, Ryan Carr, Whitney Ramsey, Courtney Ramsey and Jamieson Ramsey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Wickwire, in 1999. Private interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park. A memorial/open house/celebration of her life is planned for 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2012, at 5121 W. Ridgecrest Drive in Spokane. As Betty was a dog lover, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Spokanimal.
