Beverly A. Grant, 91, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025, in Spokane, Washington. She was born on October 2, 1933, in Westhope, North Dakota, to John and Sabina Korman, and had one sister, Maxine Campbell.
Beverly’s life was defined by kindness, faith, and unwavering devotion to her family. After
graduating from Corvallis High School in Montana, she moved to Spokane and attended
Kinman Business College. She began her career as a secretary at Safeway before marrying
Walter "Babe" Grant in 1957 and dedicating herself to raising their children. Later, she shared her talents as a Kitchen Assistant at the Immaculate Heart Retreat Center.
A woman of deep faith, Beverly was a longtime member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish. She
loved camping trips, treasure hunting at garage sales, reading, and watching her favorite TV
shows—but nothing brought her more joy than time spent with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her six children and their families: Kathryn Fredericksen (Rob, Michelle,
David); Walter Grant, Jr. (Julie, Morgan, Riley); Stuart Grant; Cindy Close (Mike); Deborah
Lorentz (Tim, Renae, Marcus); and Gordon Grant (Karen, Tegan). She was preceded in death
by her husband Walter "Babe", her sister Maxine, and her parents.
Beverly’s legacy of love, laughter, and faith lives on in all who knew her. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 26 at 1:00 p.m. at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home, 5100 W. Wellesley Ave., Spokane, WA. A reception will immediately follow at Ball & Dodd.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
