

Donna Denton Campbell passed away on Friday, August 5, 2011 in Spokane Valley, WA. She was born on October 21, 1938 in St. John, WA. Her proud parents were Harley and Zae (Lynch) Denton. Donna graduated from St. John High in 1956 and attended the University of Idaho for two years. Donna enjoyed a variety of jobs, including bookkeeping for Denton’s Pharmacy & Ray’s Appliance in St. John. After obtaining employment at Alaska Junk & Steel she moved to Spokane where she met and married Jack Campbell on August 26, 1972. Donna retired after working for West Valley School District in Spokane. She and Jack enjoyed car racing, visiting with family, and eating out at Charlie’s. Donna was a very generous and giving person who will be missed by all of her family and friends. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Zae and Harley and numerous aunts and uncles. Survivors include her husband Jack; Jack’s five children; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had many cousins and close friends. Per Donna’s request, there will be no services held. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 4-8PM at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Road, Spokane Valley. A private burial will be held at St. John Cemetery in St. John, WA. Donations may be made to the Denton Library, the St. John Museum in St. John, WA, or to a charity of your choice.
