Duane Francis Schertzer (age 60) passed away March 1, 2019 in Spokane, WA. Duane was born April 11, 1958 in Spokane, and was a resident of the area most of his life. He worked as a roofer for several years, and had done some carpet laying and truck driving for a time. He has been helping with the family farm near Reardan, WA for several years.
Duane is survived by three children, Angela Schertzer and Michelle Reaves of Spokane, Branden Reaves of Reardan; two grandchildren; his mother, Frances Ford of Reardan; his siblings, Douglas D. Schertzer of Spokane Valley; Colleen Sevey of Deer Park, Dale L. Schertzer of Reardan, Troy J. Ford of Spokane; and his uncles, Ronald Waldo of Seattle and Ted Waldo of Spokane.
Funeral arrangements are pending due to weather. There will be a viewing on Thursday, March 14 from 1pm to 2pm at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe St. in Spokane.
