Much loved mother and grandmother Eloise Frost Phelps died February 26, 2017.
Eloise was born November 23, 1922 in Spokane to Edwin and Bessie Elvigion. She resided in Spokane for much of her life. She attended North Central High School, Eastern Washington College of Education and later Kinman Business University. She had a long career in the banking and finance industry.
Eloise was a very kind, gentle and generous person. Her considerable inner-strength and faith allowed her to endure numerous personal tragedies.
She was an active and devoted volunteer serving on many boards including the Morning Star Boys Ranch, St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Rockwood Manor and Twinlow Methodist Camp. She delivered meals for Meals on Wheels for years.
Her loves were her family, travel, music, her church and her beloved cabin at Twin Lakes, Idaho. She enjoyed singing and was a member of several area choral groups.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Edna Davis and Vivian Aycock; husbands General Frank W. Frost and General Ralph S. Phelps; sons Frank Jr., Leonard and Victor. She is survived by daughter Jan Nixon of Salt Lake City, UT; son Ed Frost of Kennewick, WA; and five grandchildren.
A private service is planned.
