

George grew up on his parent's homestead in Onion Creek, Washington. He served in the Army National Guard for seven years, and was a logger, truck driver and road builder, and for a time also had his own truck. He was well-liked by his peers, who called him “Smiling George”.
George will always be remembered by his family as a man who was strong and capable, tough as nails. He loved his westerns and his dogs. He loved nature, and knew every tree, bringing home a different variety every year for Christmas. His great-grandchildren called him “Great George”, and he was.
George's wife Sharon and son Douglas Sundheim preceded him in death, as did his parents Ingval and Bernice, and his siblings Knute Sundheim, Inga Kohlieber, Ingval Sundheim, Rosemary Gleave and Martin Sundheim, and his companion Kathryn Giddings.
George is survived by his daughter Connie (Jim) Brozik, and daughter-in-law Sharon (Estelle) Sundheim, wife of Doug. Also his grandchildren Derek Sundheim (and children Owen and Allie), Matthew Sundheim (Karmela and children Jocelyn and Ethan), Hayley Brozik (Justin Lyons, and children Jazmyn and Kamron), and James Brozik (Lillian Sowa), and his sisters Margit (Terry) Kjolseth and Cindy (Randy) Ward, and his brother John (Linda) Sundheim. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and sisters and brother's-in-law.
George’s memorial service will be held October 11th, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Arden Hall.
