

Glen Roland Davis was born on January 1, 1935 in Richardton, North Dakota to Clifford and Mary (Friesz) Davis. He married Janet E. Renfrow on December 29, 1959 in Minot, North Dakota. They have three children: son, Barry Davis of Anchorage, AK; son, Patrick Davis of Dutch Harbor, AK; and daughter, Deborah Foster of Spokane, WA; as well as 5 grandchildren: Corinna Foster of Spokane, WA; James Foster, serving in the U.S. Army stationed at Ft. Sill, OK; Dayle Foster of Spokane, WA; Chelsea Davis and Devon Davis of Palm Springs, CA. Glen is also survived by one brother, Cliff (Marietta) Davis of North Dakota; four sisters, Ida (Pete) Wolf of San Diego, CA; Delores (Jack) Madl of Zephyrhills, FL; Peggy Melhoff of Riverdale, ND, and Pattie (Carl) Svendsen of Dickinson, ND. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jim.
Glen completed high school in North Dakota. He worked in construction for Peter Kiewett Construction in North Dakota on the Garrison Dam and in New York on the St. Lawrence Seaway until he was called to enter the US Army in 1957. He completed active duty and was discharged in 1959. He returned to construction work and then went into selling. In 1964, the family moved to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where he was in house building and selling. In 1974 the family moved to Kodiak, AK. He was in the commercial fishing industry. In 1977 the family returned to Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada and he worked in Real Estate. In 1986, he and his wife moved to Phoenix, AZ and he continued his work in Real Estate. He later did house building in Portland, OR after which he went to Wenatchee, WA where he continued building and selling homes. In 2007, he retired and with his wife settled in the Spokane area where they celebrated their golden anniversary last year. Glen was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed fishing no matter where he was. He loved the outdoors and he loved growing things, whether it was a beautiful flower, tomatoes, lemon cucumbers, even zucchini. He loved his kids, Barry, Patrick, and Deborah, and he loved his wife, Janet....and we all love him!
