

Passed away September 12, 2010. The youngest of seven children, Helen was born in Prescott, WA on December 16, 1917. She grew up on the nearby family ranch and graduated from Prescott High School, where she played on the women’s basketball team. During World War II she worked at the Army Air Depot Repair Facility (now Geiger Field) where she removed the guns from the airplanes when they arrived for maintenance. After the war, she worked in sales at the Crescent Department Store until she retired. She enjoyed the interaction with people that came from sales and continued by operating the Gift Shop in her retirement residence. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior when she was 80 years old. She became a member of the Spokane First Church of the Nazarene, where she attended regularly and was an active member of her Sunday School Class. She is survived by a nephew, Carl Albright of Hemet, CA; and a niece, Joanna Richardson of Kellogg ID; and she will also be missed by her many friends and her brothers and sisters in Christ. At her request, there will be no memorial service. She will be buried next to family in the Waitsburg Cemetery.
