Henrietta Francis Ackaret

Henrietta went home to be with the Lord on March 15th, 2025, at 88 years old. She enjoyed a full life, filled with family, faith and creativity. Born in Ione, Washington, on July 7, 1936, Henrietta spent her childhood years in Usk, Washington. She married LeRoy on April 20, 1957; together they raised six daughters on Mt. Spokane. As a stay-at-home mom, Henrietta took pleasure in gardening, canning, and sewing clothes for her daughters and husband. Henrietta's heart for community led her to be actively involved with the Mt. Spokane Women's Club. She discovered a passion for quilting, creating many beautiful quilts over the years, and enjoyed spending time teaching others to quilt. After LeRoy's retirement from Washington State Parks & Recreation, the couple moved to central Idaho, where she enjoyed friendships in quilt club and involvement with their home church, Clearwater Alliance Church. She approached life with an eternal perspective, sharing her love and hope in Christ with many. In 2010, Henrietta returned to Spokane. In 2015, she was diagnosed with Dementia/Alzheimer’s and spent the past ten years in care facilities. Despite her illness, Henrietta maintained her great sense of humor and love for Jesus. She is survived by her four daughters: Joyce Lizarraga, Theresa Coleman, Louise Newby, and Ramona Ackaret, all residing in the Spokane area, as well as five siblings: David, Richard, Joyce, Linnie, and Paul. Henrietta was blessed with a large family, including ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Ackaret (2004), and her daughters Pamela Reiner (2019) and Christina Boggs (1989), as well as five of her siblings: Junior, Jim, Lester, Jerry, and Hazel. A funeral service for Henrietta will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Shiloh Hills Fellowship, 207 Lincoln Rd, Spokane, WA 99208. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Peone Prairie Cemetery.
