

Jack Nolan Smith, 80, of Deer Park WA went home to be with the Lord July 22, 2022, surrounded by his family after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Jack was born January 1, 1942, to Louie and Alzariah “Sarah” Smith in Poplarville Mississippi. He was the fourth of five children. Jack served in the Airforce from 1960-1964. He met his wife of 57 years, Carolyn Smith and raised 4 children. Jack had his CDL and drove truck for Garret Freight lines, Oak Harbor Freight Lines, Grimmer Transfer and Huber Transportation for over 40 years. He loved Tennessee Ernie Ford, ice cream and blueberries. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. Jack always wore a huge grin and loved to tease those around him. He was a member of Crossover Church and truly enjoyed his church family. He was adored by those who were fortunate enough to know him and will be missed dearly.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Carolyn Smith. He is survived by his four children: Shellee Evans (Ron), Timothy Smith (Angie), Tom Smith (Liz) and Tami Crain (Roger). His brother Don Smith of Lewiston, Idaho and sister Wanda Mitchell of Tennessee. He also leaves behind eleven grandchildren: Cody, Kamaryn, Dustin, Ellis, Kiera, Gage, Ricky, Natalee, Katie Anne, Brice and Davin.
A graveside service is scheduled for August 15, 2022, at 11:15 AM at Washington State Veterans Cemetery, located at 21702 W Espanola Rd, Medical Lake, WA. Memorial service will be held at Crossover Church at 1:00pm, located at 16825 N Newport Highway, Mead, WA 99201. Memorial contributions can be made to Crossover Church.
