Jean Louise Wiyrick

Our beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend lost her long battle with cancer July 30, 2018. She was born to Mary and Carl Hecker April 10, 1925 in Coshocton Ohio. Jean graduated from Keen high school in Coshocton in 1943. After high school she worked as a telephone operator before moving with her family to the Yakima Valley. She met and fell in love with Jack Anson Wiyrick, and they were married in Yakima on March 26, 1949. They had three children, seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and many extended family that called her grandma Jean. Jean lived in Spokane for fifty five years, worked for Sacred Heart hospital for twenty five years, and retired one week before her 80th birthday as one of the oldest employees at Sacred Heart. Preceded in death by her husband Jack in 1979. Survived by her daughter Mary Ellen Wiyrick Brady of Seattle, WA, son Carl Henry Wiyrick of Spokane, son Michael Anson Wiyrick of Spokane Valley, brother Carl Hecker of San Jose, CA and brother Don Hecker of Cowiche, WA.
