

Born June 6, 1920 in Louisiana, MO and went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 9, 2012 in Spokane, WA. The Bentleys moved to Colorado in 1948, living a year in Eads before moving to the Denver area. In 1966 they moved to the mountains in Conifer and then on to Canon City in 1987. While a member of the Jefferson County Historical Society she wrote the book, “The Upper Side of the Piecrust,” an early history of southwestern Jefferson County: Conifer, Pine, and Buffalo Creek, Colorado which was first published in 1978. She was a Girl Scout and Girl Scout leader and volunteer for over 50 years. She was married to Lloyd E. Bentley on July 6, 1946 in Davenport, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Frances (Bibb) Boyd; husband, Lloyd; sister, Mary Janette Palmer; an infant daughter, Lynne Susan; and a grandson, Brian Revie. She is survived by her two daughters, Jean (Steven) Revie and Jeri Bentley with whom she lived; eight grandchildren, Jon (Michelle), Kevin, Alanna, Lindsey, Mikel (Michelle), Tristan and Tyler Revie and Carin (Chip) Cain; and 11 great grandchildren, Brianna, Morgan, Paige, Tatiana, Mikayla, Logan, Bella and Mikel Revie, Christian Jasper and Thomas and Dakota Cain. A small gathering will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 10:00 am at Imperial Memorial Gardens in Pueblo, CO. Arrangements entrusted to Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N.
