Mom lived with us for 11 years. These years were the best in our lives.  We shared so much with Mom and learned so much about her. 

We took her everywhere we went. We truely believe she was happy living her with us. We did a lot of laughing and crying. She went camping with us' we took her to the Oregon coast and  had a really good time taking pictures and laughing when we got to the "cheese" place where we ate ice cream. We went camping in Montana just a couple of years ago and head a great time. She wanted to visit a hot springs area in Montana so we took off to have that adventure. She sat in the hot springs for over an hour and loved every minute of it.

Mom died the way she wanted except she would have been devistated to realize she lasted 5 long weeks before she actually passed away. But, during this time she laughed, cried and made so many funny faces with me and my sisters. 

When I walk into her little apartment it's so empty. The furniture is rearranged; the little things have been packed away; it almost echos in there. Her clothes still hang in her closets; her shoes are on the floor; her pictures on the walls.

Mom loved to sit outside in her swing during the summer from 10 in the moring to 6 or 7 in the evening watching the squirrels and birds and us digging in the flower beds. She loved riding her Jazzy wheel chair around the yard looking at all the flowers. She loved it when our cat, Ginger, used to sit on her lap all the time.

The little things are what are important. We loved her so much and we know that loved us too. We know she's in a better place and is sitting with Daddy "discussing' things. She's there with her daughter, Diana and her sisters Eva and Nettie and the rest of her family.  Mom looked forward to seeing her Mom and Dad and we're sure she has.

Trudi (my younger sister) found the following poem for me and I think it is very appropriate for me...

Sadly missed along life's way
Quietly remembered everyday
No longer in our life to share
But in our hearts you're always there.

Mom, we'll miss you forever and if we had the chance we'd do the 11 years all over again!

We love you oh so much and miss you more than you'll ever know.

You may not have been my Grandma by blood, but you never made me feel that way.  You always were so sweet and funny.  You raised an amazing woman that I get to call my Mom2.  Thank you for all you did and all your lessons you passed on through Trudi.
You lived a full life and were very loved by all of us even if we didn't get to see you as much as we would have liked.  Tell Grandpa Art Hi.

To the Beauchamp family:
My condolences to you all, as my Mom and Dad (Harvey and Martha) were very close and spent much time together. Also I was able for a number of years to have Mom spend time with your Mom, until Mom was in the nursing home. Since I am so close in cousins with Uncle Normans and Carol Isaac, she was always "Aunt Marie" May God caress his arms around you as that was Maries strong faith too. Love Lois Holderman

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of such a wonderful lady. I remember your mother and father from so many years back waiting on them at Greenacres Restaurant and every morning pouring your fathers coffee they always made me feel so special. Even tho time has passed and we went our separate ways I will always remember them both.

Sending our sympathy in the passing of your dear mother and my Aunt Marie.  I have many pleasant childhood memories of stopping in to visit on our trips to Spokane and your visits to Bonners.  I remember Aunt Marie's smile and friendliness.  Wish Rodney and I could have been there to visit and help sing.  We love you and your'e in our prayers.  To my Beauchamp cousins and families,

In My Pocket~~
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.


Mom, 
 You are the mom I never had and you lived up to all my dreams.  Your love and laughter, and hugs and kisses gave me contentment and peace that I didn't have as a child.  You will not be forgotten and someday we will meet again and share more love and laughter.

Thank you for giving me life and 60 years of love, guidance, nurturing, humor and discipline.  I may not have always listened but I did hear you!  I hope I have instilled in my children all the love and lessons that you taught me.
You gave so much and asked for so little in return~~just love, hugs, kisses and laughter~~What a Lady!
I know we are separated now but I also know that you are with me in my heart to guide and love me, and that gives me comfort. 
We will be in heaven together someday and you and daddy and I can hold hands and smell the roses...you were the tie that binds!
Thank you for holding my hand and giving me quiet whispers of humor and encouragement during your last days~~you were always there for everyone else and again~~you carried me through and gave me comfort!


To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

We too wiil keenly miss Marie, but we praise God that there is a Way out of this missery and that she could go Home to be for ever at rest and peace. She tried so hard to stay cheerful, and freely expressed her hope in that eternal heavenly home, even while she was fading away. She enjoyed going with us to the "Gospel Jamboree"
a few years back, when she was able. She also was very active in her local church, as long as she could get around. Now she is surely singing with the angels, and those of her family who've gone before. She was Elsie's last serviving sibling from their large family. Now they are all waiting for us over there.
It's good to connect with so many of you on this page, almost like being at a funeral gathering. We pray God will bless you all with His Holy Presence and comfort in this time of sorrow.

Aunt Marie and Mom were so much fun to be around when she would come to visit...I really miss those times, but I guess all the sisters and brothers can now be together and share a cup of coffee together for us.....we will some day meet again....you are all in our prayers at this time...take care...Steve and Marlene Dombrowsky Family (Bob and Katie Hiltner's daughter)

Was so sorry to hear of Marie passing - she was a special lady - rode with us to gospel meetings for quite a while - we got aquainted with her during that time. Gary and Cathy VanDenBerg
