
Melvin J. Davis (age 84) passed away August 7, 2011 in Spokane, WA. He was born January 12, 1927 in Wapato, WA and grew up in Anacortes, WA. He served in the US Army Cavalry during the late 1940’s and spent many years in Sumner, Bonney Lake and Puyallup before moving to Spokane in 2006. He worked as a warehouseman at various Federal sites in Washington State including Bangor, GSA and the Bremerton Naval Shipyards. He loved fishing, camping, dancing, and most of all – his family. He is survived by his wife, Madeline Davis of Spokane; five children, Rod Davis of Puyallup, Fay Thompson of Puyallup, Laura Apley of Graham, WA, Reggie Angel-Lill of Cincinnati, OH, Renee Kincaid of Spokane; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
