She was born and raised beneath the wide skies of Montana, where she learned the values that shaped her whole life—kindness, thoughtfulness, generosity, and a deep appreciation for simple beauty. The mountains, rivers, and open fields of her childhood never left her heart, and she carried that gentle Montana spirit wherever she went.
More than anything, she loved her family. She had a way of making each child, grandchild, niece, nephew, and friend feel like the most important person in the world. Her hugs were safe places, her kitchen was always open, and her laughter filled every room she entered. Summer trips to the Oregon coast became some of her most treasured memories—days spent with family watching the waves, sharing meals, gathering seashells, and simply being together. Those moments reflected who she was: present, grateful, and full of love.
She found great joy in painting, and through her art she shared the colors she saw in life—soft sunsets, bright flowers, and gentle scenes that many of us might have missed. Every brushstroke carried a piece of her generous heart, and her paintings will remain lasting reminders of the way she viewed the world with hope and beauty.
At the center of her story was her beloved husband, John. Their marriage was a beautiful example of devotion, patience, and friendship. The love they shared shaped a family and created a home filled with warmth, faith, and welcome to all.
Waiting to greet her in heaven are her devoted husband John; her firstborn, Jackie; her beloved parents; her three sisters; and numerous family members and dear friends. We take comfort in knowing she has been joyfully reunited with those she missed so deeply.
She leaves behind her daughter Carolyn and son-in-law Phil; her son Johnny and daughter-in-law Helen; her four grandchildren, Heather, Jason, Kristy-Lee, and Lisa; and her five great-grandchildren, Chiara, Emery, Amber, Taylor, and Reilly, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who were blessed by her love.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor her memory by being kind, thoughtful, and generous to others, creating something beautiful, or spending time with the people you love—just as she always did.
She was a blessing to us all, and her love will remain our greatest inheritance.
