"Bob"
Robert (Bob) Donald Parsons was born in Wenatchee, WA on June 7, 1929 to Arthur and Lucille Parsons. He lived a full life and passed away with his family by his side on the morning of February 10, 2018. In high school Bob met his wife Joanne who instantly became the love of his life. They were married out of high school and soon after went into the Army, stationed in Belton, Texas. After serving his country he brought his wife back home to Wenatchee to start their family.
He then started working as a meat cutter in his uncle's butcher shop. This eventually led into a 45 year sales career with Armour Foods. Bob had a zest for life that was unique to his very outgoing personality. He moved his family from Wenatchee to the Spokane Valley in 1958 to follow his sales career and throughout his life he made numerous friends. His outgoing personality most always included a short joke or a quick-witted story followed by the left eye "wink" to make whoever he was talking to feel at ease. His favorite line was "Where's your ticket?" Bob's passions were family, helping others, and the New York Yankees. He was the Yankees number "1" fan since childhood. He will always be remembered by his softball teammates for the "infamous" Back Porch (his version of tailgating).
Bob is survived by his wife Joanne of 69 years; sons Casey Robert (Penne) and Kelly Arthur (Lynn); grandchildren Haley Rippee (Jordan), Mandy Frei (Anthony), Kaitlen Kembel (Kramer), Patrik Parsons (Katie), Brian Parsons (Katie), Cody Parsons (Shay), Conrad Behler (Samara), Kiefer Behler (Mikaela); great grandchildren, Audrina, Delaney, Oliver, and Asher. His family could not have been blessed with a greater loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He was an incredible man, and he will truly be missed by his family and friends, forever loved, and never forgotten by those who knew him.
Memorial Services will be Friday, February 16, 2018 at 3:00pm at Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA 99206. A reception follows.
