Ruth Joy Smith

Born January 20, 1928 in San Diego California, to Marjorie and John Love. Peggy (Love) LeGrant was my sister and a very special person in my life. After my father's death at age 6 months we returned to Spokane to be with my mother's family. Mom had three sisters in the Spokane area and a brother in Canada. They all produced 11 cousins and the 13 of us spent lots of time together with egg fights in the barn to getting locked in the outhouse. My first job was at Mt. Rainer at the age of 14. My cousin Sue got me the job, then on to Sears, the telephone company, Albertsons, then School District 81 for 26 years. Chuck and I were married on April 18, 1946. we are the proud parents of our son Terry John (Char), grandchildren Cory (Ray), Jeremy and great grandchildren Jasmine, Kevin, and great great granddaughter Paisley, our daughter Sherri Lynn (Robert), grandchildren Mandy (Cody), Maryia(Darvin) and great granddaughter Joy Lynn. I have many loving nieces and nephews. We had a good time traveling with friends by car, train, plane, and cruise line. Sorry Chuck, life was made short at age 70. God has been good to me. Love ties everything together.
