

Samuel Ellsworth Trusty left this mortal life and returned to his heavenly home on Thursday January 25, 2018. He was born on January 14, 1926 in Spokane to Samuel Trusty and Leone Vira Murphy. He was born in the home built by his father and grandfather. Ellsworth attended Willard Elementary and graduated from North Central in 1944. He met his beautiful wife, Audrey Fay Bogar, on a blind date and married her February 22, 1947. The have five children: Glenna (DeRon) Olsen, Spokane Valley; Kim (Janice), Kennewick; Bruce (Beth), Suncrest; Tamara (Robert) Johnson, Spokane; and Renee (Erik) Johnson, West Jordan Utah. He was a master paperhanger by trade and was in high demand because of his skills. His work remains in banks, commercial buildings and many of Spokane’s historic homes. Ellsworth was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served four stake missions, was a member of a Bishopric and served in many other callings. He was known for his honesty, integrity, reliability, and he had many friends. He was adventurous, energetic, and had a charismatic personality. People loved his humorous storytelling. He was an avid reader and was interested in politics, history, hunting, camping, boating and football. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, 5 children, 20 grandchildren, and 31 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Elmer and Art, and his sister Maryetta Henry.
A memorial service will be held Saturday February 10th at 2:00 PM at the LDS Church 2112 W. Francis.
