

Steaven “Steve” Clark Abbott age 69 of Spokane, Washington passed away on December 30, 2017. He was born on May 2, 1948 in Lewiston, Idaho to Rexford Earl Abbott and Phyllis Ann (Wyman) Abbott. Steaven graduated from Clarkston High School in 1966. He joined the US Navy and was called in to active duty serving in Vietnam. He was a tower lookout on naval ships and later transferred to the Reserves. Steve worked as a carpet layer, a taxi driver and a security guard, among other things all in Spokane. He was an excellent artist and he loved hockey, going regularly to the Spokane Chiefs games as well as watching on TV. He spent a lot of his time at Frankie Doodles restaurant here in Spokane where he made many friends and enjoyed good conversation over coffee. He is survived by his brother, Kirk Abbott of Spokane, Washington and sister Shelley Hornak of Fishers, Indiana. Also surviving are nieces; Elisha McMurtrey, Heather Reiber and her two children and Colleen Zelinski and her 3 children as well as nephew Michael Schauer. He is also survived by three uncles; Bill, Mike and John Howard.
A Memorial Service will be held May 2, 2018 at 1:30 PM at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery, 21702 W Espanola Rd, Medical Lake, WA 99022.
