Passed away May 3, 2011 in Spokane, WA. A lifelong resident of Spokane, he was a US Army Korean combat veteran. He worked many years for the railroad where he was known as Willie; first with the Great Northern and later the Burlington Northern. He was also a longtime member of the VFW. Survivors include a son, Thomas Shupp and wife Michelle of Spokane; a daughter, Margaret Gassman of Spokane Valley; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Arrangements entrusted to Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe St.
