
She was born in Dixon, IL on March 2, 1942 to Karl Amendt and Pauline Gassman. She attended grade school in Il before moving to Wisconsin and was a graduate of Spooner High School. In June 1961, she was united in marriage to Gerald Kasparec. They raised their family and farmed in the Town of Evergreen.
In addition to being a beloved mother and farm wife, she was employed as a housekeeper, election board clerk and a bakery clerk. She was active in homemakers club, enjoyed traveling and wintering in New Mexico, volunteered for various organizations/fundraisers and loved horses. Besides providing “gramas taxi” for several years, Bev was the #1 fan at her grandchildren’s sporting events. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
Among those who survive and gratefully shared her life are children: Andy (Nancy) of Luck, Teresa McDowell of Eau Claire, Yvonne (Brian) Bowen of Spooner, and Kimberly Kasparec of Cameron; fourteen grandchildren, Jamie (Lance), Joe, Jason (Larissa), Jessika, Ashley, Nikki, Ryan (Morgan), Alisha (Taylor), Stephanie, Daniel, Cassandra (Jake), Kayla, Kendra and Kyle; eight great grandchildren, Lance, Ashton, Jaydon, Brynae, Alessandra, Alex, Hailey, and George Porter; “Mother:, Doris Amendt of Spooner; Siblings, Pamela (Lindsey Wilbur) Monzon of Baldwin, MO, Mary (William Talbert) Christner of Spooner, Dick (Sharon) LaBounty of Denver, CO, Maria Victoria Monzon of Eau Claire, Marie Eugenia (Robert) Bauman of South Jordan, UT, Juan Monzon of Champlin, MN and Jim Cyndi Richter) Amendt of Spooner; brother-in-law, Ron (Pat) Kasparec of Las Vegas, NV; along with a number of special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Bev was preceded in death by an infant son, John; a brother, Richard; a sister, Fay; a son-in-law, George; and brothers-in-law, Richard and Bill.
A celebration of life was held at 11:00 Friday, September 14, 2012 at Spooner Wesleyan Church with Pastor Leroy Drake officiating. Visitation took place at the Church prior to the service.
Inurnment will be in Oakland Cemetery in Freeport, IL
